Les Liaisons Délicieuses has hosted a wide range of men and women of all ages and across generations who are looking for a delicious, educational experience with food, wine, a range of cultural experiences and a connection with others who share their interests. Patti and her trip leaders are all good cooks, gracious hostesses, and ardent Francophiles fluent in French. Each trip is carefully planned by Patti and each trip leader is well versed and connected within the locations they travel to.
pattiPatti Ravenscroft, Founder and President of Les Liaisons Délicieuses, is a professional member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP), The American Institute of Wine and Food (AIWF), and Les Dames d’Escoffier. Since 1994, Patti has designed and run over 80 trips for Les Liaisons Délicieuses. She fell in love with France, French food, and France’s rich historical, cultural, and artistic heritage at the age of 15 and since then has lived and traveled extensively all over France. The birth of Les Liaisons Délicieuses in 1994 was a dream come true for Patti which she loves to share with fellow gourmets and Francophiles. In 2004, Patti was named a Chevalière de l’Ordre du Mérite Agricole by the government of France for her work in educating Americans about French agricultural products. Patti runs most all of the trips and is completely hands-on.
judithJudith Raak, is LLD’s office manager and a trip leader. Judy is a French teacher who delights in sharing her love of the French language, culture, and cuisine. She studied in Besançon, Tours and Montreal, and has an MA in French literature. Judy has traveled extensively in France and enjoys the life-long learning adventures and new relationships that LLD brings together.
crystalChristel Phipps lifelong passion is French cuisine. This has led her to innumerable cooking classes and extended stays in France. Her schooling was in Geneva, Switzerland, and she has a BA in French and an MA in French History. For the last 30 years she has lived in Boston where she received another degree in Interior and Architectural Design and has imported French country antiques.
anne-liseAnne-Lise Auclair-Jones is French, married to an American. She grew up and was educated in France and currently shares her life between Washington and Paris. After a successful career as a translator at the International Monetary Fund, she has found in Les Liaisons Délicieuses the ideal way to pursue her lifelong interests in cooking, travel and cross-cultural relationships. As a trip leader with LLD’s gastronomic adventures, she relishes bringing people together to celebrate the French way of life.
isabelleBrought up in France, Isabelle de Zamaróczy was born into a family steeped in the rich culinary traditions of Normandy, where family meals were treated as sacred. She came to the United States in 1987 with her husband and raised her four children. She pursued her childhood interest in cooking, working at l’Academie de Cuisine in Bethesda. When her husband’s job led them to Cambodia, she was able to discover the novelties of Asian cuisine. She loves introducing others to the French culinary heritage and hospitality à la française.
veroniqueVéronique Bawol started to organize cooking classes and market tours for the American Woman’s Group (A.W.G.) in 2009 in Paris, but her passion for cooking came from her grandmother who worked as a personal cook. Veronique’s fondest childhood memories were in the kitchen with her grandmother learning the secrets of French cooking. She loves to take cooking classes for pleasure at the Cordon Bleu and Lenôtre.  She is now organizing private dinner parties and cocktail dinatoires for Americans in Paris (AFMO, American Embassy, etc) and still does cooking classes for several groups in Paris.
